I was inspired to illustrate Joseph Campbell's 12 steps of "The Hero's Journey," hoping to educate myself and others through the magic of storytelling.

The first step, "The Status Quo" was challenging because it could mean absolutely anything to anyone. How do you take something so big and make it so small? I eventually narrowed my focus to a simple clock with no hands representing the divine eternal present. Right now, this silent, sacred moment, bursting with infinite possibilities lays the foundation for the adventure ahead.
